Through inclusive design & research we can work towards equity, elevate voices, challenge power, and enable social justice.

Join us on October 6-7, 2021 to share stories, ideas and expand our knowledge.

We live in richly diverse societies, yet this diversity is not often reflected in products, services and systems offered. Through inclusive design and research, we can identify and prioritise those who are currently being left out or face the most barriers in our problem space.

Through this online and international gathering, we hope to cultivate a community of practice of designers and researchers that grapple with questions like:

  • How might we ensure psychological safety is created for participants in research sessions?
  • How might we shift the power dynamics in design to empower citizens who are marginalised by society?
  • How might we advocate for and receive stakeholder investment for inclusive projects?

Call for speakers!

We are looking for workshop facilitators or speakers who would like to share their work. If you have worked within an inclusive user-centred design project as a designer, researcher, product manager or research participant, we would love to hear from you.

Inclusive projects can focus on a number of people, including but not limited to, communities that have been marginalised by society based on:

  • Race
  • Sexuality
  • Age
  • Ability
  • Class
  • Language
